Description
Who doesn't like willows? I love willows but up till now I've only made two: the maiko willow and this little, cute baby willow.
This particular pin is made using 2x2cm silk squares, glued onto a hand-dyes cotton cord to mimic a willow branch, with extra two flowers - nadeshiko. The cord has an inner wire, that allows minor adjustments. Flowers are set on shaped wire so they can be re-arranged if needed. Mizuhiki silver accents are added.
The motif is willow and pinks, a traditional May motif.
SIZING:
Total length: 8cm (the shape is curled, so the individual branches are aprox 10cm)
Single flower diameter: 2 cm (I've made them with 1cm and 1.5cm pieces of sheer silk)
